Families in crisis situations

Families in crisis situations

Crisis situation is defined as a stressful time in an individual’s life when they experience a breakdown or disruption in their usual or normal daily activities or family functioning.
There are several types of situations that can be considered a crisis situation. These include:
- Family disruption or family disturbance
- Natural disasters (flooding, tornadoes and other weather-related incidents
- Suicide (when a person threatens suicide or plans to commit suicide)
- Economic changes (loss of a job, medical bills and etc.)
- Life events (the birth of a child, loss of a loved one, irrational child)
Our charitable foundation “Hope for everyone”, being unable to grasp all these areas, supports women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence. The purpose of our program “women in crisis situation” is to provide a safe refuge for women and their children leaving abuse. We have our own shelter designed to ensure that women and their children are supported while they recover from the violence and abuse they have experienced and witnessed. In addition to safe, confidential housing our charitable foundation “Hope for everyone” in the context of “women in crisis situation” program provides a variety of services, including:
- Basic daily needs
- Childcare
- Parenting skills
- Counseling
- Advocacy
